Axis – the shop selling countertop sinks

Axis is one of more recognisable sink manufacturers in Poland. Besides many drop-in models, our offering includes countertop sinks for the kitchen. They are popular both among private customers looking for a quality sink for their kitchen, and among people managing public facilities. The elegance of these products makes them perfect even in exclusive hotel rooms with a kitchenette. Axis is a brand associated with quality which is why investing in our products will ensure that you will not be ashamed of them and the sink will not need replacing for several years.

Remember as well that kitchen countertop sinks are not the same as bathroom countertop wash basins. The latter have their bowl almost entirely above the top surface, while for the kitchen sinks of that type only a small part of the rim protrudes above the countertop. We try to make every sink available in many colour options as thanks to that it can be installed in different interior design styles. Obviously, we can provide advice on what countertop sink should be selected for a given kitchen design and what kitchen tap it should be combined with.

The best countertop sinks just in Axis!

It is worth stressing that all countertop sinks offered by us are made from granite. This material has numerous advantages. Those products are incomparably more attractive than steel countertop sinks or even ceramic countertop sinks. Their elegant design improves the appeal of any kitchen and makes the kitchenette become something we can boast of, inviting our relatives or friends there. Such a sink blends in with the surroundings perfectly and, contrary to popular opinion, does not seem rough at all.

Granite models have an incomparably higher quality than the steel countertop sinks. They are resistant to sudden temperature change, fading, cracks and scratches, provided that you maintain them correctly. Do not use scouring pads to clean a countertop sink. It is worth wiping it with a dedicated impregnating agent from time to time. It will clean the surface efficiently, removing any limescale and ugly deposits which may happen despite the smooth sink texture. A neat countertop sink can be used for many years.

Advantages of kitchen countertop sinks

The main advantage of countertop sinks is their easy installation which we will discuss in greater detail below. Besides, those sinks do not differ from other models in terms of aesthetics, quality or comfort of use. The sink edges which protrude a bit above the countertop provide a clear separation of this top zone. Many people are afraid of problematic cleaning of the space surrounding the kitchen countertop sink. Quite unnecessarily, as you need to make some apt moves with a cloth to get rid of any crumbs or impurities on the sink rim.

Another advantage of countertop sinks offered by Axis is that they are sold together with fasteners and a trap. This is significant help as it is often not easy to find compatible components. For Customers who want to buy all the kitchen devices, we prepared an extensive tap catalogue. We know how difficult it is to choose any items which we are going to use every day for many years and we are ready to help you in the process. What is more, our products come with a pre-cut tap hole thanks to which the Customer needs not bother with that, and they can start installing the kitchen countertop sink right after buying.

A countertop sink – how to install it?

As the name suggests, kitchen countertop sinks are installed on the top, meaning from above. This is a relatively easy installation method as, opposite to the drop-in sinks, does not require any particular skills or specialist tools. It is enough to cut an opening in the countertop with the dimensions corresponding to those of the bowl, then apply silicone on the edges and then put the sink in, pressing the rim edges to ensure they are fixed in the silicone. Silicone is a sealant popularly used for redecoration and finishing works which you can buy in any construction store.

It is recommended to ensure that the excess silicone flows to the countertop as this proves robust sealing. This is important as the seal will prevent water ingress under the rim and, consequently, any countertop swelling and damaging. After the countertop sink is installed, wait for the silicone to cure perfectly and then remove the excess. On the Internet, you can find many tips on how to do it fast and easily at home. There is also another solution. If you do not want to expose your countertop to silicone staining, you can apply masking tape before installation. Apply it near the opening edge and then remove together with the silicone. Masking tape can be easily bought in any construction market.
