Are you looking for a shop selling sinks where you can buy a kitchen tap or washing-up liquid dispensers as well? That's perfect – Axis offers that all. To relieve our Customers from the stress stemming from the need to look for fasteners and a trap compatible with the selected sink on their own, we add them to the sink. This is not the end of good news – most Axis models come with a pre-milled or pre-cut opening required to install the tap.

The best sinks just in Axis

The sinks available in Axis combine quality, aesthetic values and functionality. Anyone having granite frying pans or other kitchen accessories made from that stone has already seen its strength and durability. A stone sink will last for many years and will be a decoration of any kitchen. We recommend primarily the models with a draining board which ensure extra sink functionality, so useful during everyday kitchen chores.

A sink – how many bowls?

One of the most important decisions to be made when selecting a sink refers to the number of bowls it is to have. Here, we have 3 product types:

• Single-bowl sinks which are most often selected by small kitchen owners, singles or families which eat out instead of cooking at home. Single-bowl sinks usually reach the kitchens where dishes are washed by dishwashers. Although they are typically thought to be small, let us not forget that a lot depends on the model dimensions. A wide and deep bowl may ensure relatively convenient manoeuvring with plates or pots.
• 1.5-bowl sinks are models with one standard bowl and the other one which is ca. one half smaller, termed a backup one. Such a sink will be great for anyone not having enough time for instant washing up. When the main bowl houses a pile of dirty dishes, the smaller one can be great for washing your hands, rinsing fruit or draining potatoes. We can place dirty glass there as well to prevent it from being crushed with heavier crockery in the main bowl. The smaller bowl is often used as a comfortable storing place for dripping thawing products. A sink with this bowl is a reasonable option especially when the limited space does not enable us to install a model with a draining board.
• Two-bowl sinks are usually bought for homes inhabited by larger families. They are also an absolute “must have” in kitchens of cooking or baking fans with no dishwasher. It is worth stressing that bowls in such a sink need not be of the same size and of a standard shape. For example, models with oval bowls arouse high interest.

Each of the above-mentioned sinks can come in two versions, i.e. with a draining board or without it. If we have sufficient countertop length, it is worth opting for the former solution as we get some space which can be used in different ways, e.g. as a safe place for fragile glass items or for products just removed from the freezer. Let us also remember that sinks may have shorter or longer draining boards, either with or without grooves. For left-handed people, the ability to turn the sink should be important as well.

A drop-in or a countertop sink?

The sink is selected based on the installation method as well. Axis offer includes drop-in and countertop models. The former ones are usually flush with the countertop although they can be installed to ensure that the rims protrude above it a bit. Such sinks are installed in the opening cut in the countertop. Thanks to their tight fitting, there is no space where food remnants or water could collect and they are easy to clean.

Countertop sinks are models installed from above. Their rims protrude above the countertop surface clearly. Although they are less expensive and easier to install, they entail some minor disadvantages. Impurities may accumulate between the sink rim and the countertop which are, however, relatively easy to clean. If you are used to placing any crumbs right in the sink when cleaning the countertop, you will not be able to do so in this model.

• MALIBU 20 – this is a perfect compact sink. Its manual trap enables it to save space under it and use it to store e.g. a waste sorter.
• HONEST 160 – a traditional two-bowl sink with square edges which will go with a similar countertop. The automatic trap will offer comfortable drainage of water from the bowl.
• MALIBU 80 – a model for people looking for something in between single-bowl and two-bowl models. You can buy it with a manual or an automatic trap, and the price difference is just PLN 20.
